Central heating is important for people in many parts of the world. Through one fuel-type or another, the home is heated to stay warm during the winter months and maintain an ambient temperature during all hours of the day and night. One way to heat your home is to use under-floor heating. This recent innovation uses either tubes filled with water to pump heated water under the flooring, or electric cables which heat up and warm the flooring. This underfloor method of heating provides a more uniform heating of the floor and room than the traditional method of pumping hot water through radiators. Also, under-floor heating requires less space because the bulky radiators can be taken out, which is ideal for small rooms.
To maintain the right temperature, an underfloor heating thermostat is used. The thermostat can maintain both the temperature of the room, and the temperature of the flooring, so that neither gets too hot.
