I love using different ceramic lamps scattered about the room. It creates a lovely effect, and ceramic lamps are really so artistic. Of all the different things that one chooses so carefully when redecorating a room, nothing requires as much care as lighting. Just imagine even the most beautiful room under harsh, one-dimensional fluorescent light, and you’ll see what I mean. I tend to go in for many different sources of light rather than one bright source. This tends to soften shadows in the room, and also draws attention to interesting areas and objects.
