In our neighborhood one of the things that families are passing more time doing is sitting around a backyard fire pit. This is a good way to chill and talk. There are plenty of things that are shared over a backyard fire pit that might not get discussed in the same relaxed manner in a different setting.
There are a few things about sitting outside and being heated by a fire and seeing the stars overhead that adapts well to sharing a deeper part of our thoughts and dreams. A backyard fire pit has a means of drawing others. My man and I made a backyard fire pit one or two years back.
We have sufficient space in our yard so we simply laid down heat resistive bricks in a 4 foot square. We probably did this so if we wished to douse a fire it wouldn’t make as big a mess.
