Information on migration from Africa to China are sketchy. It seems as if the most people from Africa go to China to teach English. Most of the African English instructors come from Anglophone African Countries such as Ghana and Kenya. Another migrant group from Africa is students. The Chinese has provided more than 17,000 scholarships to students from 50 African countries since the 1950s. As China provides scholarships under special agreements with various African governments under China’s Aid program, fourty percent more African students studied in China in 2006 than in 2005.
