There are some things that do not want to die – and one of those things is 80s metal. This type of music was huge in the late 80s and very early 90s, but then died away when the music from Seattle (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc) became popular. However, that did not mean the music would go away and stay away. Those that grew up during these times have the same reaction to this music as those of other generations have when they hear the music they loved when they grew up. There is something special about hearing music that reminds you of when you were young and relatively carefree. There was a lot of debate about what 80s metal really was and is today. Some define metal music as something different than others do.
