As we study our Bibles and pray this week, why not ask God to give us the courage to go out and spread the gospel and let others know we love them even if we feel uncomfortable.

Scientists and Real Archangels

Posted by the author on December 24th, 2011

With the passing time we are seeing science explore the issue of spirituality from an interesting angle. Now scientists may not out and out say that they believe in things such as real archangels but some of the stuff they come out with leads you to believe that there are those who might…

Scientists in the fields of psychology and psychiatry, as well as Pascal, the famed mathematician and philosopher, determined that almost every child possesses a degree of physic abilities, usually up until about the age of six.

Any parent knows that kids have a way of ‘knowing’ certain things that can’t be readily explained. For example, a child may take an immediate dislike to a certain person, sizing them up in a child’s manner and without apparent reason. The same child may gravitate towards another individual without explanation. They simply sense something which creates a ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ impression. What’s interesting is that children’s impressions usually prove to be correct in the long run and there are many that believe firmly in real archangels.

Useful Tips On How To Enjoy Heaven On Earth Now

Posted by the author on May 5th, 2011

We know that by Christ’s death, we are all entitled to live in “the Father’s house” when we die. However, even though we are not yet in heaven now, we can still enjoy heaven on earth.

How can we live in “the Father’s house” now? We can train ourselves to live in the conscious enjoyment of God’s love and presence, enjoying Him and His presence because we know that we are the objects of His love.
We must believe that we are in His presence and that nothing, absolutely nothing can hinder us from enjoying Him. God wants us to enjoy Him while we are still living in this world also!

The Bible tells us that God has made us alive together with Christ, raised us up together with Him, and made us sit together with Christ in the heavenly places.

We all have responsibilities to perform in this life. While performing our responsibilities, we will face many challenges and difficulties and we tend to get worried and anxious about our problems. But God would lift us up in spirit above all the “storms” in our lives.

We must always be reminded that it is God desire to want to lift us above the “storms” in our daily life so that we can glorify His name.

Though we are not yet in heaven, but we can enjoy the presence of God and the joys that come from heaven through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. We can also do this by filling our daily lives with christian teaching answers.

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

Buddhist Meditation

Posted by the author on February 10th, 2011

Modern holistic health practices often incorporate meditative procedures. Meditation evokes a calmer state of mind and body. It can slow heart rate, lower blood pressure and free the mind from everyday stresses. Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years in cultures throughout the world. Meditation has been especially important within the practices of Buddhism.

In Buddhism there are two types of meditation: intuitive and analytical. Analytical meditation, as the name implies, involves thinking about the world around you and how the teachings of Buddha have been manifest. You use your own knowledge and life lessons to contemplate and understand the world. Intuitive meditation, in contrast, is said to involve a higher plane of thought. Here, you are examining things in your life that, for lack of a better word, defy explanation. These are concepts that cannot be explained by conventional wisdom. The practice of Buddhist meditation pays dividends that are attractive to any practitioner of holistic health. To begin with, meditation practices help you to gain a clearer picture of yourself. Through analytic meditation, you can examine habits that you have formed over the years. Destructive behaviors can be re-evaluated and changed when you realize they are not beneficial to your life. Meditation can also help you to see things from another point of view. Buddhist meditation also has benefits for the practitioner of intuitive meditation. Through intuitive meditation you get a better understanding of yourself and your purpose for living. Buddhists believe that we are all connected in some way: people, animals and the universe at large. Understanding a deeper purpose to life is said to bring clarity of mind and relaxation in the body.

If you are interested in learning analytic or intuitive meditation, you do not have to be a Buddhist. But, you can visit a local Buddhist center for advice. Ask about classes or mentors available to learn these practices. Alternatively, many modern holistic schools offer training in various forms of meditation. Review descriptions of their course offerings to see if they fit your needs.

Joseph Finds Himself in Power Over Egypt

Posted by the author on January 24th, 2011

Have often do we want something so bad that we try to get it done by ourself instead of putting our faith in God and asking him to help us? I know I couldn’t count how many times I have done this myself. But, this story in Genesis about Joseph in charge of Egypt makes me stop and thin just how important it is to always keep our faith in God and be patient.

Remember God wants us to ask him for his help and he wants us to always have enough faith in him that he will do his will. We might not always get what we want, but when we believe in God, we know whatever happens is his will.

Coat of Many Colors – Joseph’s Dreams

Posted by the author on January 7th, 2011

One of my favorite Bible stories in the Book of Genesis is the one about Joseph’s dreams. I always try to imagine what it would be like to be in his brothers shoes when he told them about his dreams. Would I have shown this much hatred or would I just have let it go? What about you?

We can all apply this story about when Joseph has a dream and his coat of many colors to our lives today especially if we are parents or siblings. If you know of someone in a similar situation, share this Bible scripture and commentary with them. Maybe it will open their eyes.
