South Africa Car Rentals

Posted by the author on March 4th, 2010

Travel South Africa’s beaches with South Africa car rentals for a special holiday experience. The country has rugged wild coasts and glamorous city beaches among a variety of other coastal attractions. The Western Cape beaches are nothing short of mind-blowing. The province has coastlines on both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and is recognized its for whale watching. South Africa car rentals make it easy to get from place to place, and the West Coast is a fantastic place to start.

The West Coast is picturesque and natural with small fishing towns being the centres of civilisation. The wildlife, indigenous vegetation and mountains are remarkable, particularly in spring when the wildflowers bloom.

Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard is a stunning collection of white beaches, aqua coloured waters and magnificent mountain scenery. The beaches are “the place to be seen” and are very well patronised.

The glorious Cape Overberg Coast is legendary for its incredible whale watching opportunities from June to December, when whales journey to the warm waters to mate and calve. The town of Hermanus has a 12km cliff path overlooking the sea, wonderful for an aerial view of the whales below. The magnificent Garden Route is a highly recommended self-drive, especially if you hire car Cape Town Airport. The road runs between coast and mountain with amazing views and verdant plant life.

The Eastern Cape is an emerging province. Some of its coast is remote while other expanses are filled with the vacation homes of the well-heeled.

The Sunshine Coast enjoys a mild climate ideal for daily watersports. In fact, Port Elizabeth is unofficially the watersports centre of South Africa. Enormous sand dunes make lovely picnic sites; and estuaries and lagoons are brilliant for boating and birding.

South Africa’s beaches are diverse and captivating; a perfect recipe for an epic holiday. Try South Africa car rentals for creating your unique holiday experience.

Toyota’s Endless Troubles with Vehicle Recalls

Posted by the author on February 23rd, 2010

Toyota will still have you believe this; but in the whole grisly affair of the vehicle recalls that have plagued Toyota this past year, news has come out that the company knew about a very serious safety issue way back in 2007. The company just did not do anything about it until it was forced to; people have been dropping like flies because the Toyota cars malfunctioned; the unofficial estimate puts it at a hundred car crashes.

But the definitive evidence came only last August, in a crash in San Diego. An entire family of four in a Lexus died when their vehicle accelerated uncontrollably, rolled over several times and burst into flames. Now, Toyota has no choice but to acknowledge publicly, that there have been mistakes made.

Premium Truck Tarps

Posted by the author on February 17th, 2010

The first step is to make sure that the locations of your truck tarps tie down hooks are in the right place. Flip the braided rope over the corner so that the flaps and tie down ropes hang over each side of the box. The number of tie down hooks for truck tarps vary depending on the length of your truck tarp. If needed, use the hook to pull the braided rope and flap over the side of the box.

Each tie down hook of your truck tarps must be positioned so that the tie down rope can be reached from the ground. Next the bungee cord has to be stretched to reach the last truck tarps hook. The rope will have no slack. Make sure that the tie down hooks on your truck tarps are level with one another. To ensure proper hook placement on the truck tarps, first duct tape the rope to the box in place of the tie down hooks. Start with hook closest to the cab.

The next step to installing truck tarps is to position the first hook 6” (15.24cm) down and 12” (30.48cm) forward (toward the cab) from the first grommet. Next position the 2nd hook straight down from the truck tarps 1st grommet. This hook should be reached from ground. Then place the middle truck tarps hooks equal distances from the grommet. These hooks should be placed at the same height as the second hook on your truck tarps surface.

Next, position the last hook (closest to the truck tarps tailgate) below the last grommet at the same height as the others and weld all of the hooks into place. By following these steps you should have your truck tarps hooks securely in place.

Snap clip installation is also vitally important when putting together varying truck tarps. For this process, flip the rope back on top of the truck tarps surface, making sure to hold the bungee at all times.

The first snap clip is typically factory installed 5’-6” from the pullrod on all truck tarps. Open the clip and enclose the rope. Weave the second clip through the main pullrope where the ends of the bungee cords meet the main pullrope on the truck tarps body. Make sure the rope is taught when clipped. Installing snap clips on truck tarps is that simple!

The Importance of Car Seat Recalls

Posted by the author on February 11th, 2010

A little extra care saves lives, and throughout time, these things have been documented so that your baby is safe today. When considering all you have to know, do not forget about car seat recalls and information.

Most of us grew up in a time when we rode in the back of a car without a seat belt and never thought twice out it. Our parents may have held us in their arms are they rode down the highway.

There were car seats then, of course, but not everyone thought they were necessary. After all, their parents never used one and they were just fine. Car seat recalls were unheard of because they were not a requirement by law as they are now.

Cape Town Car Hire

Posted by the author on February 9th, 2010

Cape Town car hire is a great choice of transport for travelling Cape Town and surrounds. The Cape is renowned for its vineyards, and meandering along a wine route is a really enjoyable experience, both for wine connoisseurs and teetotallers. Many wine estates now have hotels, spas, restaurants, live music and other activities for guests to enjoy. Renting a car is by far the easiest and most reasonable way to tour the wine routes.
Constantia Uitsig is a grand old dame of the Constantia Valley, a vineyard that has stood the test of time. The cellar produces sought-after wines, and the estate has developed a hotel, a spa and three restaurants for guests to enjoy. La Colombe is particularly well known. On-site attractions include: Constantia Uitsig Hotel (16 garden rooms), Constantia Uitsig Spa (treatments and therapies), La Colombe Restaurant (internationally recognised restaurant overseen by chef Luke Dale-Roberts), Constantia Uitsig Restaurant or enjoy a light snack at The River Café and you have to pop into the Wine Shop on your way out.
Groot Constantia is a well known and highly respected cellar that produces premium wines. The lovely estate dates back to 1685 when it was first established as a vineyard. Groot Constantia is a place of much fascinating history, but has “changed with the times” to become the charming estate it is today. Cellar tours take place every hour from 10am to 4pm.
The Constantia wine estates could collectively be termed the “Mother” of the wine industry in the Cape. Vineyards were planted and cultivated in Constantia in the late 1600s and the area has been producing wine ever since. The valley oozes history and heritage and is an upmarket, beautiful place to visit. Buitenverwachting means “beyond expectations”, and this is exactly the type of wine the estate produces. Buitenverwachting is one of the original Constantia wine farms and today creates a range of wonderful wines. The estate restaurant is also superb.
On-site attractions: Buitenverwachting Restaurant (one of the Cape’s finest restaurants), enjoy a picnic in the gardens (picnics are made up on-site and must be pre-booked) and the Vineyard picnics (arrange with Groot Constantia at least 24 hours in advance)
Cape Town car hire is the best idea for a relaxed tour of the Cape Wine Route.

Subwoofer Speakers

Posted by the author on February 8th, 2010

When I was a teenager, I loved loud music – what teenagers don’t. Like most boys my age, I thought the bass was the best part of music. I loved the feeling of the bass thumping in my body, making the whole world shake and rock. One of my friends had a killer car audio sound system, and we would cruise around the neighborhood, making the windows shake. He claimed that it was a good system, and at the time I believed him. Having subwoofer speakers that made the whole house shake was the perfect sign of a killer sound system. Ideas like sound fidelity, clarity, or even preservation of my hearing didn’t enter into it. It was all about feeling the music blasting through the subwoofer speakers.

Low-priced car insurance in New York can be obtained

Posted by the author on January 27th, 2010

Many car insurance firms in New York offer inexpensive premiums, thanks to good competition. The progress of the auto insurance market is apparently accelerating in spite of the much talked about global economic downfall. Because of this increase, auto insurance companies in New York are always trying to outdo one another when it comes to costs and amortization plans.

By no means be embarrassed to ask for every special offer available should you acquire your insurance. For starters, they anticipate it from you! And second, you just don’t know which discount you possibly can be eligible for. To save on your insurance cost, go ahead and ask for that price cut! All insurance providers give reductions on their rates. On the other hand, they don’t market so. It is important to ask the insurance adviser for information relevant to any reductions they might be offering. Usually, this is all that you need to get the low cost auto insurance in New York City that you like.

The Economic Benefits of Fuel Ethanol for Malawi

Posted by the author on December 4th, 2009

If Flex fuel vehicles are used by Malawians, Malawi will be able to save hard earned forex by reducing
the Petrol Importation Bill. The saved forex could then be channeled towards other pressing issues.
Malawians who use these vechiles will save money on petrol cost as the price of Fuel Ethanol is
reasonably cheaper than that of petrol. Therefore more money will be available for investment in other sectors of the economy. Imported inflation (inflation that emanates from rising fuel prices on the global market) has a big impact on the Malawians as it translates into higher transport cost and higher prices of goods and services when the global price of the imported petrol increases. If Malawians use Fuel Ethanol there would be no problem of imported inflation as this fuel is produced locally. The country is also expected to see a significant reduction in the freight costs. Malawi relies heavily on its neighbors’ ports such as Beira, Nacala and Dar-es-salaam for importation of petroleum products. Since Fuel Ethanol is produced locally, freight costs of petrol are projected to be substantially reduced. The other benefit, since Fuel Ethanol is locally produced is energy independence, improved energy security and the reduced need for petrol imports. The product is also a strategic commodity in case they are cut off from the ports by civil unrest in neighbouring countries or floods enroute to the ports.

Travel Advice For Durban

Posted by the author on December 4th, 2009

Be vigilant at red robots (traffic lights) at night. Slow down before the robot and keep moving slowly until the light turns green, this is just one small piece of travel advice for Durban. Read on for further tips. If there are people lurking nearby or somebody walks towards your car, carefully drive through the red light. Risk a fine rather than a nasty experience. Don’t give money to street children. In general, people use children to beg as a business enterprise, or the kids use the use the money for sniffing glue. Rather give them food, or give money to the charities that feed and clothe them. How to tip is another useful piece of travel advice for Durban.
Standard practice for restaurant tipping is 10% or more (relative to the service you’ve received) if a gratuity is not included on your bill. Quiet areas (especially at night), are best avoided. Walk in groups, not alone. Be attentive in the city centre. Use common “city” sense: keep your cell phones, cameras, and jewellery safe by keeping them out of sight whether in the car, on your person, or at your place of accommodation (especially if you’re on the ground floor as things are often pinched through windows). Although 11 official languages are spoken in South Africa, business, services and tourism usually operate in English. An adapter is a travel essential: electricity is 230 volts and plugs are round three or two pin plugs.
Take note of this practical travel advice for Durban for a memorable and happy holiday.

Spot the YOR Health Smart Cars

Posted by the author on October 22nd, 2009

The introduction of the first two YOR Health smart cars has gone largely unannounced in the community at large, but individuals enjoying the roads in the greater Los Angeles or Orange County areas will be surprised to see these wrapped YOR Health vehicles traveling alongside of them. Only two such vehicles have been rolled out thus far, but there are many more to come.

Smart cars encompass lines of microcars and superminis. The development of the vehicles was fueled by the desire to create a car that was easy to park; the normal smart car is as long as most parking spaces are wide, which enables two or three such vehicles to park in a single normal-sized parking space. So – in a sense – smart cars are very efficiently designed. In this way, they are similar to all of YOR Health’s various products.

Many smart cars are designed to embrace the eco-friendly cultural movement that is sweeping through the world as issues like global warming are confronted. To this end, smart cars are designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the environment. This is not much different from the purpose of YOR Health’s products: to improve the health and wellbeing of the individual. The main difference here is that YOR Health’s corporate model provides the opportunity to share the potential health benefits with family and friends, whereas the smart cars are too small to provide much opportunity for sharing! However, all humans share the environment – so, in this regard, there are commonalities as well.

YOR Health is built upon holistic values – the organization is focused on providing a higher standard of living by empowering individuals with knowledge concerning nutrition as well offering leading-edge, high quality health care products. The organization approaches personal improvement from a “bigger picture” perspective. This makes the smart car a great selection for the company’s official vehicle from a conceptual and philosophical perspective.

The YOR Health wrapped smart cars are a great marketing initiative and can also work to incentivize distributors towards increased performance. The vehicles function as both an effective mode of transportation and as mobile billboards, serving two distinct purposes with precision and style. Also, certain regions and distribution networks may be offering the YOR Health wrapped smart cars (or a portion of the payments for the vehicles) as bonuses for exceptional performance, which could serve to encourage increased dedication and effort.
