What I really love about going to antique dealers, garage sales, etc. or even online places like eBay is you never know what treasure you’re going to find. You know that Jane Ray piece that if you could find it would be so nice to complete the set.
Or that rare bunny dish to round out your jadite dinnerware collection.
I must admit even when I find them not for sale, half of the fun is seeing what pieces the other collector has found and of course talking about it over coffee.
And you always hear stories about what life was like in the US at the time of production and how they were originally presented to the public. Whether it be free giveaways or sold in large quantities to institutions or large restaurants.
And now it seems the rest of the world has caught on to the delightful collectibles. With places like eBay offering collections to a world market, the price is only going up on such collectibles as Fireking Jadite.
You never know, the missing piece could be sitting on eBay right now waiting for a buyer!
