Posted by the author on September 1st, 2006

He would make me crazy with his wobbly speed and deadly accuracy at choosing the perfect times to wander away from me. If we were anywhere dangerous like a parking lot or a crowded store, he could be counted on for bolting from my side and causing me heart palpitations as he toddled away toward danger. Posted by the author on September 1st, 2006

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has launched an exciting new Project in the north and east of Hampshire which will see large areas of conservation land being managed using grazing. The land in the Project is a combination of existing reserves that are either owned or managed by the Wildlife Trust, and also land owned by the Ministry of Defence. The two organisations have formed a partnership which will allow the Trust to graze not only their own sites but also those owned by the MoD.

We are the leading local wildlife conservation charity in Hampshire and the Island. The Trust seeks to increase people’s involvement in their local environment and in turn achieve better conditions for wildlife. We care for over 60 wildlife reserves – more than 6,500 acres of valuable wildlife habitat – and by providing volunteering, education and training opportunities, we enable individuals and communities to provide sustained benefit to these essential wild places. Not only do we manage our own land, we also advise other landowners how to manage their land with wildlife in mind. We carry out surveys and gather data to monitor how our local wildlife is doing. We work to protect wildlife on land and in the sea – so that we can all enjoy a future rich in wildlife.

Child Obesity In Australia
Poor food choices and unhealthy eating habits are not the only cause of child obesity.

A primary cause of child obesity in Australia and the rest of the world is lack of exercise. This wonderful internet, where you are now reading this article, can take up time that used to be used for exercise. Children are spending more time in front of the television, DVD’s, and video games. This time is most often stolen from time that would have been used in physical activity. Encouraging your child to be active and get plenty of exercise helps them to burn off those extra calories. The best way to do this is be involved in exercise and activity yourself and set a good example.

How To Choose A Digital Camera

How To Choose A Digital Camera
It is important when choosing a digital camera, that you choose one that will do what you want or need

I will discuss the different styles and their capabilities. This is an important point. The camera that Uncle Harry says is best, may not be right for you. You may not need the latest, most expensive digital camera. You probably do not need many of the features that a salesman will list off. In fact, you probably will find many of those features worthless. It does not matter if the camera has a CCD or a CMOS chip. What does matter is that it will serve your needs and wants. I think it should also do that just as well next year and the year after that.

A Close Shave

Posted by the author on September 1st, 2006

An article on Survivalist Chronicles waxes lyrical about methods for getting a close shave

…Several years ago the rechargeable permanent hair remover was the hot item for holiday gift giving. I received one from my husband. The first time I used it on my legs I had tears rolling down my face because it hurt so much. The device featured intertwined springs that rotated rapidly. You ran the springs over your legs and the hairs would get caught and would pull out. It was stated that this was most effective if the hair on the legs was longer to begin with. The claim was that once you had used this device for a period of time the close shave feel and look would last for long periods of time…
